Free to play Tips: How to save for the Superconductor 2000
It might sound counterintuitive, but the easiest way to save for an item that costs 75,000 raid chips, is to not raid, it is to get by playing a pacifist and saving from away missions. It’s a slow process but if you start with 10,000 raid chips, it should take you approximately 6 to 8 days for you to save up the required amount, provided you check in regularly to keep cycling though all those away missions.
There is a method to this madness: you do not get raided as a pacifist and this method guarantees you the same pay out (which is the purchase of the Superconductor 2000) for the lowest time investment and the least heartache (associated with losing 10,000+ raid chips when your base gets pummelled by an attacker).
Signature ability: Start with 2% Power. Abilities include Power Flood 3 and Unblockable |
When you raid, you open yourself up to being attacked (and when you don’t, you stop getting attacked too), so unless you’re popping raid shields in between raid sessions, your next best alternative is to binge raid at the cost of Energon (10 for the purchase of each raid ticket). The latter only works if you have plenty of time and Energon to burn, but before you go trigger happy on that raid button, check out our guide on cost effective expenditure of Energon. So, stop raiding – save your time, your Energon, and more importantly, your raid chips.
Patience is key. Mid to late game players often face this conundrum of time, to conduct raids or to make arena runs? By taking time off raid you free yourself from this aggravating dichotomy. Additionally, there is no good reason to subject yourself to the anguish associated with rushing to a Superconductor 2000. The Superconductor 2000 is a luxury base defense mod that is not critical to a good set up (honestly, good pairings and strong bot choices make a bigger difference), so unless you’re already rocking a reasonably good defense, save slow or don’t bother.
TL:DR Unless you’re binge raiding, stop attacking and save on raid chips by diligently sending bots on away missions. The process should take you 6-8 days, but you save on time (otherwise spent on raiding), Energon (required for raid tickets/shields), and heartache (when you lose 5-figure sum raid chips in a failed defense). Most importantly, you get your Superconductor 2000.
