Endless Frontier Week in Review: Week 19

This is a weekly update documenting my progress made in game, including goals and lessons learnt this last week.

Knight Level

Since the our last entry, we have seen our Knightage level rise 8 levels to 114. With the Elf 6* artifact set now 2nd transcend complete, we are now in full Elf meta, rocking 8X Senior Hippogriffs, 2X Senior Fairies, 1X Senior Windwalker, and 1X Senior Elementalist.

I deliberated on whether the Elf Sage would make a better support than the Windwalker but I opted for the latter as it provided a source of melee damage which could benefit from the Immortal artifact set that I have included in our artifact setup. The Windwalker also complements the Elementalist a lot better than the Sage would as a ground (magic v physical) pairing.

I have no intention of transcending the other toons on the team apart as those tickets would find better use in buffing other units such as the Drummers.

Spirit Res

130 billion and not even on a proper run!

Upon switching to the Elf team, SR returns have skyrocketed once more from 28 billion to 130 billion. A full-on Elf team really is the best (as if there were any doubts about that). Make the switch as early as you can.

Pets

Currently I am working towards getting Boom Boom up to 5*, that and Devil, for the Succubus buff (Madness) which should, theoretically speaking, help a good deal with stage-clearing (the team being a predominantly male team).

Airships

Airships have seen some progress in recent weeks, whereas the previous ceiling was D-5, I can now venture as far as D-7. I suspect I might require another orange quality ship before I can advance any further.

Week 19 Misc

A very pleasant surprise

This last week, Ekkor dropped a very generous gift of 20,000 gems and honor coins, a pet selection ticket, a unit selection ticket, and 5 transcend tickets. My picks for the 2 selection tickets were: Dionysus (Pet), and Fairy (Unit). The Fairy pick was a no brainer as I’m only halfway to amassing the 12-man strong team that would max out the Tinky buff (30% skip rate from Time Shop).

One of the most "expensive" bugs so far.

The meta switch could not have happened on a worse day. Being unable to make the shares on Facebook (and yes kids, you should always share if you can), I missed out on 1,000 gems, which is an amount that would have allayed the massive outlay required in senioring 7 units (including the one required for the artifact transcend).

Side note: since I’ve started playing this game, I have spent USD$18.95 (3X $0.99; 1X $5.99; 1X $9.99).
