Free to Play Tips: Airship Enhancements 101

What are airship enhancements? 

Airship enhancements are the equivalent of transcending airships, except, they go up 10 levels as opposed to just 3 – as with the case with unit transcends. Doing so improves the base stats of the ship (the durability, attack, power, defense, and repairability) but not its Basic “attributes”, this, as demonstrated below. 

Additionally, achieving or reaching milestones/breakpoints will unlock bonus leader(ship) perks that improve with each Enhancement. The breakpoints are 1 (the base skill), 4 (unlocks second skill), and 7 (unlocks third skill). 

Why should you enhance your airship?

Well, the short and easy answers is that it’ll make your airships more powerful, which, needless to say, will take you further into Explorations and allow you to hold your own better in the Airship Arena. However, you should not be enhancing every ship willy-nilly because doing so will drain you off plenty of resources: units, airships, airship materials, and gems alike. I will not be telling you what you should or should not do in this article, but if you do decide to get an Enhancement, this is what you can expect.

How to enhance your airships?

First, seek out the Enhance tab in your airship and click on the ‘#Select material’ square/button. The required material sacrifice will be displayed on this page (for level 1, it’s the same ship, so yes, you’ll have to build the ship again to be able to enhance it). If you have the material available, you should be able to find it and select it for use in the pop-up. 

Step 1: Enter the "Enhance" Menu

Step 2: Open the material selection box

Step 3: Select the available material (none will appear if you do not qualify/meet the requirements)

Step 4: Lock in your selection, and click on the button 'Enhance'

Once confirmed, you will have to pay a Gem fee, in this case 200 Gems. This changes as the enhancement requirements change (for example, the 2nd enhancement will cost 300 Honor Coins). Here’s an example of the expanding scale of units required as you go up the enhancement tiers (the example featuring the HUMS God Bless, 5-star human ship)
